Thursday! Micah and I BOTH slept in, and then gave our house a major cleaning-- it feels good to be in a clean bathroom! Then I went and bought Pinata's (sunshine ones!) , and a few things for Erika's Baby shower that is coming up this weekend, and visited with a family from church for a little while. I wish all days were like today... :)

Man, today went wrong. I was feeding 60 people with the rest of the children's worship leaders, and everything I was in charge of didn't work. The jello I had made didnt dissolve enough, 1/3 of the crockpots didn't turn on with the meatballs in them, and the mac-n-cheese in the oven didnt heat fast enough. The good news? The food was still ready in time, thanks to some creative thinking by my friends at church. So, here's to jello.

Today, was a shoe day. I got my new brown shoes in the mail- they are awesome. and I went and returned my old black shoes I bought saturday and bought a new pair of black shoes---these ones. they feel nice.

Another Busy day! Tonight was my first playgroup-- what fun! We had four families come with their children (around 8 kids!) We are gonna have to move to the bigger room. Chrisje said that it was an awesome turn out- and we should be very happy about it! So, here is a picture of a different playgroup.

busy day! Church this morning and I didn't get to sit in for hardly any of it-- I had so much to do! Then, after church I had to go and get food for Wednesday night when I am feeding the large group of people. Then we went to a youth group kick off cook out at Zach's house- which was a lot of fun, and now I am getting kicked off the internet-- because Micah is going to watch dexter with his old roommate who is in boston. The picture is how they are going to do it. Micah is skype-ing to Nathan, and then letting the Skype send the show- because we get it on cable. crazy.

Micah got up early to work at Ace all day, so my mom went with me into GR to look for some new shoes for work. I have bought some flimsy dress shoes last year, and now they are not holding up anymore! We managed to find two black pairs, but couldn't quite find the right brown pair! We finally found it, and they didnt have the right size. So my mom bought it in her size, and when we got home, I found it online and it will arrive at my house in 5-10 days. I cant wait- these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn :)

whoa! guess who called me today? CAR TALK PRODUCERS! I called them two weeks ago, I really want to be on car talk and I finally got a question worth asking! See, Micah's car broke, and so we are going to be buying my brothers car from him-- but he has bed bugs! So I am worried about this- I do NOT want bed bugs in my house, what a pain! but Micah is not worried, so I wanted to call Car Talk and see what they have to say. Well, what happens is, you call them, and you get voicemail. you leave your name, your car type, and your question. They get 2000 calls a week and they only air about 8 of them a week! So then they listen to them, and pick their favorites and then call them back to talk with them, and then they put them on the show if they like them. Well, they liked my call! I am in the semi-finals to be on car talk! It would be a DREAM COME TRUE! Stay tuned-- I called them back and left a message, I hope to talk with them tomorrow. So todays picture= CAR TALK

Today Micah and I are celebrating 6 months of marriage! That went fast! We dated for 8 months, were engaged for 7 months, and now are married for 6 months. I know Micah will be working tonight, and so I think our celebrating will be postponed til tomorrow, but Here is a picture remembering our lovely wedding! What a busy day! I was the liturgist at church this morning for both services, got the acolytes ready to process, passed out books for my book group, presented and gave bibles to our 3 year olds and first graders, taught children in worship (and taught some new teachers how to do it), and then came home and took a LONG NAP! Micah and I made pizza for dinner using our Pampered Chef Pizza stone that Micah's mom bought for me at one of my bridal showers. I was so nervous about using it because you really have to know how to use it to use it without hurting it, but we finally tried it. It worked perfectly! It was the best pizza I have ever made! Thanks Mom VH!

Today was nice--- I got to sleep in (Micah worked at the Hardware store this morning). Micah attemted to clean the sink for me-- it got a little out of control (Hence Picture #1) Then we got a call from our friends Chad and Alisha, and we went to get pizza with them and their two kids at Fricano's. We love those kids (hence Picture #2) and their parents (Chad works with Micah at Zeeland Hardware), and I help Alisha (she is the Children's Choir Director at church). a Lovely Saturday ended with a visit to the captain (Captain Sundae of course!)

After a long day at Little peoples place, I went downtown with my Mom, Dad, and Grandma. We saw the live mannequin show. All the storefronts had live people in it posing to the theme of Music. it was really neat, and so busy, they were forced to close the streets!

p.s. I got an email from a friend from church who works for the City of Zeeland. They are having a photography contest and she thinks that I should enter. I would love too! Now the challenge is getting the perfect shot! I have til September 27th to enter. Wish me luck!

Today was busy! Micah and I went to Second to set up a Children's Worship Classroom together, and then hit the grocery store. I had a meeting and Micah had to go to work, but this evening we had a great dinner together, mexican chicken and rice, and for dessert, White Trash Mix. (Picture from Google).

First: Micah found some awesome books at the book sale.

Today was crazy! Lots of kids came to second stop- what a blessing! they were full of good food and energy and did a great job with the decorating the boxes for church. PLUS i wore hoops for the first time today! my ears had a hard time with them before, but now they seem to be a whole lot better! yay!

What a lovely sunday! Church was in the park, and we had a chicken dinner and kickball afterward. It reminded me of what a wonderful church family we have! Then we napped, til we went to see my dad ROCK THE FELT: a concert in Saugatuck.

He was a part of an all beatles band. He was fantastic.

Busy day! My phone kept turning off so I went to Verizon twice today, once to order the battery and the second time to pick it up. My grandmother came over with my mom to look at Bethany's wedding pictures too--- so the picture today is one from her wedding (via Melissa Keeley and Telltale Photography- she did such a great job!)

Another day another dollar! I worked at Little Peoples Place all day and am glad to see our enrollment as gone up for the fall. What great news! My parents and I came back to Zeeland later, and paid Micah a visit at his new job: Zeeland Ace Hardware! We are so excited about this! Its across the street from us, and there are a lot of people who go to our church who work there. Micah had a great day too!

Today the rain kept Micah away from work, so I went into the office and worked and then we went to hobby lobby and pet smart to create our beautiful new fishbowl. We love it! The Fish is named "Eureka".

September already? wow! I would love fall weather, so i can get into my fall wardrobe!

Today Micah and I have to give Grandma her car back, we have been so blessed to have her lend it to us as we wait for a new car to come around. Before we went there, Micah was changing his clothes and picked this combo--- it was hard to tell him the truth about plaid on plaid... but he did change before we left.
