Today I spent a lot of time catching up. The only thing I remember doing at work is putting batteries in the game Operation. I know I did more, and I talked a lot. Here's to operation.

Man. The washer is broken, I almost hit the neighbors dog (that was not on the leash... common!) and I got pink-eye. rough day! here is to eyes!

Took the Grand Prix to the shop once more, another couple hundred dollars later and it works like a gem. Spend a lot of time in the office,a and then cleaning when I got home, but Micah made me a fantastic lunch, and a beautiful dinner. (picture above). Then, after spilling wine on my pants, I started a load of laundry, only to find the washer making funny noises, and smelling like burning. So much for the laundry. I will be calling the landlord tomorrow to report it and see what they can do for me.

Busy Day! December is always the busiest time for me- Christmas program on top of everything else. But Tonight i had my final meeting of Shaped by God book group. it was fun!

busy day! Children's Corner kicked off today at Second, I had a photoshoot with a family in Holland, and my violin student played her first performance at my parents christmas program. Plus, I helped with that. Plus there was a lot of snow. I will post pictures of some of those things soon, but first, snow!

My mom and I went to look at the storage benches at Meijer that were on sale, and we found this great beige one. It fits great at the foot of our bed near the closets. Looks good too!

so Its friday, so I spend a long day at LLPP and then head back home. But I was looking back and never wrote about hte photo contest. I placed! I got 2nd place in the "Recreation" catagory and 3rd place in "Buildings". Here are the pictures.

Micah and I got a package from Amazon.com which included a Christmas gift that he has been waiting for, for a long time. His favorite band had a new CD and you could only get it in the UK, til now. So, instead of waiting til Christmas, we took advantage of the fact that we make our own rules, and we both opened one present. This December rocks. :) (I got my new camera case).

First snow of the season! I had my violin student and her brother over this morning, like every wednesday, except this time Eli wanted to shovel the driveway while we had our lesson. So he did (a little of it) until he got cold. :)

Long day at work- its harder to enjoy the day because its so dark out, but I am hopeful for snow soon which will brighten everything up again.

I made a bokeh today. Bokeh comes from the Japanese word "Boke" meaning "blur". Basically its a cover you can make to add to your lens. You open up the aperture, and then the reflecting surfaces (like Christmas lights) take the shape of the opening in your cover. I discovered this idea yesterday, and did some research. Today, I bought some black cardstock paper and tried it. It worked! When its not so wet out, I am gonna take it downtown and see what kind of picture I can get. Here is my first round.

What a productive Monday! I had a lot of things to get done, and I accomplished all of them. Plus I ran some errands, did a few returns and then wrapped a few more presents. Our little tree already has a lot of great gifts under it! I don't have e very much space to hide presents, so I decided to wrap them when I got them. And I already have quite a few!

I was liturgist today, and had a great sunday at church. Micah and I took a nap and then I wrapped some presents. Mostly because I don't have room to store the gifts hidden, so if I wrap them, they dont have to be in a closet anymore. Here's to wrapping gifts in November.

Micah went to work and I got up early in the morning to finish cleaning the house. Micah and I curled up for a movie and a nap, and Micah's parents came and visited in the evening. Lovely way to end our lovely weekend.

Also, My Grandmother (my most dedicated reader) got a Facebook account today. Here's to Grandma!

My fever is over! Micah went to church and came home to study and I still spent the whole day in bed, but what a joy to have no more fever, and I can get back to work tomorrow. Great! We watched Monsters vs. Aliens today.

I started running a fever again, and called the doctor. My Bronchitis did not respond to the anti-biotic. I am back in bed, now with an inhaler (advair) that I take twice a day, (and expensive one too). But I have to just ride this out- so now I am in bed, what fun.

Lead the Shaped by God discussion with Tracie and Zach, and then Tracie and Nate came over and we went to apple bees for appetizers. It is one of my favorite places-- i love the appetizers there!

Good day! We went to church and then came home and napped. I napped for a long time! Micah cooked me a fantastic lunch of chicken, broccoli and cheese casserole, and mashed potatos. yum!

I began driving to BR to visit with Micah's mom and enjoy the Fashion Show and Silent Auction to benifit St. Peters Chrisitan School (Micah's old school, and his brother Luke's school). I bid on a few thing, but did not win anything. What fun though! (the picture is of the school from Google!)

Then Micah met me in GR and we visited with Grandma VH in the hospital. She was in the ICU, but talking and doing very well!

We ate Chinese food with Leah for dinner too- yum!

We also went to see our friend Andrea in the play at Calvin. she is very talented! Way to go Andrea!

My fever broke, and I could finally do something! Micah and I did laundry together (ok, half of the laundry got done...) we cleaned and re-arranged his office, so he will be able to use it better too. Then I realized how much work I have to do at Church, so I worked for a few hours. and just long enough to realize that two of the curriculum that I ordered did not come-- in fact, they sent me one of the three, but ignored my request for the other two. so I have to call again, and try to figure out what they misunderstood and make sure we only get charged once. Not the best way to go back to work after an illness. but I will survive. Tomorrow I just hope to keep my head on straight, and Thursday I can get back in the game. So today's picture-- Laundry!
